Party

A quiz where every question is about one person, and everyone in the room knows them.

You type in what you know. The year they moved, the job they walked out of, the thing they say constantly, the holiday that went wrong. It reads all of it and writes the quiz.

About a minute, which is the only reason it gets made

Everybody has had the idea of doing a quiz about the birthday person. Almost nobody does it, because writing twenty questions the night before a party is not going to happen.

Paste your facts in as a list or just ramble at it in a paragraph, and the questions, the order and the scoring come back done.

It works just as well for an office birthday

Somebody in every office ends up organising these. This is ten minutes of something that is actually about the person, instead of a card going round and a cake nobody cuts.

Leaving dos and milestone birthdays too, the ones where a generic party game would feel like not really trying.

Read the questions before the room does

It writes from what you give it, so look through them first. Life has awkward bits in it and the quiz does not know which year not to ask about.

Thirty seconds of checking, and it is also your chance to swap in the one question you actually wanted.

What it is not

Reusable. It is built around one person and that is the whole idea, so it is a thing you make for an occasion rather than a game you keep.

It is also not really a competition. There will be a winner, but the point is the room reacting to what they did or did not know, not the leaderboard. If you want people properly competing, Trivia Grid or True or False are built for that.
