Letters drifting across a big screen, slowly giving themselves away.

A screen full of floating letters in coloured bubbles, each colour a different hidden word, all of them tied to one theme. As the round goes on the letters drift together, the words line up, and more hints arrive.

Guess early and it is worth more. Guess wrong and it costs you.

Your team can answer at any point. Call it while the screen is still chaos and it pays properly. Wait until the word has assembled itself and so has everyone else's answer.

That decision, made out loud, around a table, is the game. Somebody is always certain too early and somebody is always holding back.

It is a team game, and that is the point

Not a room of individuals looking at their own phones. Four or five people arguing over one answer, talking across each other, one person spotting the theme that unlocks the other three words.

It is the arguing that makes it work, so give people someone to argue with.

Built for a screen everyone can see

The whole thing happens on the big display. Letters moving, bubbles clustering, words snapping into place. Phones are just for answering, so nobody is heads-down missing the good part.

That makes it a stage game as much as a table game, and it holds up in a room where the screen is the only thing everyone shares.

Where it works

Company events and team days. Conference sessions with a proper screen. Family gatherings, pub nights, classrooms, anywhere a word game already goes down well.

What it is not

Language-neutral. Most of the games here work in a room with no common language, and this one does not. It runs on letters, spelling and vocabulary, and a first-language speaker has an advantage no setting corrects.

It is also not a quiet game. If you need something people can drift in and out of, this is the wrong shape.
