The quiz show format

Categories on a board, point values behind every square, and a race to buzz in first. Trivia Grid is a Jeopardy-style quiz built to run live in front of a room, and a full game takes 30 to 50 minutes.

The host runs it and the software does the admin

Players join by link and their phones become the buzzers. You get the board on the room screen and your own presenter view to work from.

When someone buzzes, their name comes up. You call it right or wrong and the points are added or taken off for you. Nobody is squinting to see who was first and nobody is keeping score on paper.

Play it as individuals or in teams. A team crowds round one buzzer and argues about the answer before someone hits it, which is how the room gets bigger without the game getting slower.

The content is the game

A grid is only as good as what goes in it. Write your own categories and questions, or give it a topic and let AI build the set.

This is where the time goes and it is also where a good one gets made. Questions about the company, the team or the event itself do something a generic quiz never will.

Who it's for

Conferences and events, where there is a stage, a host and a room that came to watch something happen. It works for an HR team day too, but the big room is where it belongs.

Built for in person. It can run online, but a buzzer race is a room thing.

One screen, no slide deck

The usual way to do a quiz show at an event is to build it in PowerPoint the night before and keep score by hand. That is the thing this replaces. The board, the buzzers and the scores are in one place, and you are hosting rather than operating.
